F4 Reunion in Nash

I headed to Nashville this past weekend with two of my very good friends, to visit our friend Sarah. We all graduated from nursing school together three years ago, and while in school, we were called the F4 (at least between the four of us haha)

We always have a blast, especially on road trips. on the way to Nashville, we stopped in Metropolis to visit Superman and Wonderwomen

 When we FINALLY arrived, we snacked on veggies.

We then got dressed and took a cab downtown

For dinner we headed to Demo’s for dinner and started with cheesy bread. YUM!

I dont have many food pictures, because when I started two of my friends were cool with it. My other friend said “are you taking pictures of the food? WHO DOES THAT?” So I stopped and just took pictures of people…….

This piano at one of the bars, had all types of instruments coming out of it. It was pretty cool. Another bar we went to was COVERED in writing. I found this one pretty cool!

We were only in nashville for about 24 hours, but we sure had a blast. We stayed out till 4am…………ummm I havent done that since before my son was born 5 years ago. So the next day I was NOT feeling good at all. I only took two pictures, but you can see I look like I was having a rough morning

One small step at a time

Im still trying to get my eating under control.

Before going to work for a class, I had breakfast that kept me full. 2 eggs, peppers and cheese with a clemetine

At work I did have two twix fun size. But I stopped (this is actually a big step for me. Usually I eat ALL candy in sight)

At home, I tried to get some things done: laundry, cleaning, and putting away clothes….and then I fell asleep on my bed….with all the lights on haha

For lunch: I tried a chicken/pepper wrap, but there was too much soy sauce I put on there. I only ate 3/4 of it.  And grapes

My nephew came and I love him so much! We even had a dance party in the kitchen when my son got home! I then had a bowl of cereal, but I measured everything

(again. this is a step for me. I usually just POUR and I usually go back for seconds too)

While making dinner, and THESE, I snacked on pecans

Dinner was a spinach chicken recipe. My family LOVED it. (I was surprised, they are VERY picky).

For dessert, I had three cookies and 1/2 cup ice cream

The past few days, I havent been myself. I have been feeling down and I have been very negative about myself. My body is getting VERY squishy. I first turned to my sparkpeople.com friends. And today I turned to my blog friends. I found this thats been going around the blog world!

    Before heading to IKEA on Sunday. We stopped for brunch to fuel up!

    I started with A BIG KID hot chocolate (really)

    Then I split the apple stuff french toast and hash with my cousin.

    My stomach was SO full. Because we spent TWO HOURS at IKEA. No joke.

    this was just ONE of the carts, out of THREE

    My cousin Erin wanted to go for a rug she found online. no IKEA in STL 😦

    Andddddd…..we didnt even get a rug haha. But lots of other goodies. plus our bags for the trip–good thing we brought the BIG car haha

    this is all my stuff! I got a vase, knobs, 6place setting in gray/blue, salad bowl, 4 mugs, tupperware, pie and cake cutter, and picture frames.

    I also got some baskets for the shelves on the back porch

    You might not be able to tell a difference, but I love how the desk looks now. Especially since before one of the knobs didnt even match.

    Chicago and Back

    This past weekend, I went with Erin (my cousin) and Laurie (my friend) to visit Jill (my cousin and best friend). We had a blast! but unfortuantly I dont have many “people” pictures…..darn

    When we first arrived, my cousin showed us her cute dogs trick.

    When she tries to leave, Louie will get into ANY bag even if its the size of a pencil bag!

    We didnt get to chicago till about 10. So we had some snacks on the way down (can you believe I got trail mix…..

    Then we snacked on some guacamole before heading to bed.

    In the morning we went on a run. An easy 8 mile run. It was rough! but beautiful. We ran right by the lake.

    Before the run, I had oatmeal, banana, and PB (that I brought with me)


     I havent run outside (only on the treadmill) and the 33 degree weather did not agree with my lungs. But I finished! Then I took a LONG shower and apparently I looked like a turtle….or so I was told haha

    For “lunch” we just munched on apples and some munchies. We then went SHOPPING!!! I didnt get anything, but it was still a good time. Except for seeing this…..(haha just kidding, alittle)

    I REALLY wanted to get this….I should have


    Then we got margaritas and mexican! And home for some wine!

    In bed around 1230, after watching Pretty Women. Awesome movie!

    My legs were KILLING me. You would think Ive learned to stretch after running!

    – tomorrow I will blog about IKEA. It deserves its own blog dont ya think? haha

    Chicken Stroganoff Recipe

    Im sorry Im not sure were I found this recipe. But I know weightwatchers has a recipe like this.

    Chicken Stroganoff

    1.65 lb skinless chicken breasts (frozen of fresh)

    1.5 cans of 98% FF cream chicken soup (condensed)

    1.5 packages of dry onion soup mix

    24 oz FF sour cream

    8 oz mushrooms

    • Place chicken in bottom of crockpot
    • Mix all ingredients but mushrooms. Pour over chicken
    • Place mushrooms on top
    • Cover and cook on Low 6-8 hrs or till chicken cooked

    I changed the time to 4 hrs (it was fine) and I would use less sour cream or chicken soup. Otherwise it was DELCIOUS my dad and I loved it. My mom and son who are SO picky- didnt even try it.

    Crazy Day in the NICU

    Sorry I didnt post last night, I didnt even get home till 930! I am a nurse in the NICU and there were several babies that are extremely sick, and we also got a new baby that was sick. It was so busy, I was charting 2 hours after my shift ended.

    I didnt get to eat lunch, just snacked on a TON of trail mix. So dinner was cereal

    Also, some yummy wine

    I wasnt able to get to swim practice. By the time I got home I was exhausted. I slept in today till 11!

    -Being in my PJS having a movie night with my son. Then putting him to bed to have some time with my DVR and blogginG!
