Skillet Lasagna


1 lb lean ground beef

1 small onion (I used onion powder)

3 cloves of garlic (I used 1tsp garlic)

1 can diced tomatoes (undrained)

1-1/4 cup water

8 oz tomato sauce

1 tbsp parsley

1 tsp basil (I didnt have any)

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp salt

2-1/2 cup broken lasagna noodles

1 c fat free cottage cheese ( I used low fat)

1/4 c fat free parmesan chees

Dash Pepper (optional)

1 egg

Shredded fat free mozzarella cheese (I didnt have)


1.) In large skillet, brown ground beef with onion and garlic. Drain.

2.) Add tomatoes, water, tomato sauce, parsley, basil, oregano, and salt.

3.) Stir in uncooked pasta (I cooked the pasta 1/2 way first, then added it)

4.) Bring to boil, stir occasionally

5.) Reduce heat, cover and siimmer for 20 minutes or pasta tender

6.) Combine cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, and egg

7.) Spinklie with pepper to taste

8.) Add cheese to pasta mixture

9.) Cover and cook 5 minutes
