Up on the wall

I love before and after blogs! And this one is probably my favorite

~~~~~~
Yes. The kitchen is almost done (still need to paint a bit. get two cabinets up. and put up the trim)
After work on Friday, I went straight to my house to help my two brothers with the kitchen. Getting the cabinets in, electric work, lights up.
Then saturday we put the dishwasher, oven, and kitchen back in. Got the counter top put back in (which will get replaced. Need to order it)
So here are the updated pictures. but Ill first start with the BEFORE pics
Of course, there were A LOT of working photos!
And of course some SEMI finished projects
WOW! What a huge difference, right?!?!
Birthday week + cabinet update~!
Hi everyone! Sorry my blogging has been completely crazy this week. Trying to get my house ready for my bday party on saturday resulted in no sleep, hardly having time to eat and no exercise. Well unless you count pulling up tree roots
 (yep. this happened. in 95 degree heat. yep. Im stupid. haha)
Anyway. I had a pretty good birthday. I turned 26 yesterday (it feels the same as 25 hahA)
~~~~~~

Friday and saturday were a blur. All I ate on saturday was a banana, apple, and then dinner that I made for the party. It was so wild because I was cleaning the ENTIRE house and getting the kitchen put together. But I think pictures work best!

 The cabinets are in, but I will post pictures about that tomorrow. All that work, deserves its own post 🙂

Flowers to get my house all pretty!

Flowers from my friend Adam

my mom made my cake! Funfetti of course!

Having a party, can be A LOT of work. Especially when trying to finish up a kitchen. It isn’t finished by any means but its starting to feel like a real house now! I need a new counter top, and then I will be moving in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, was LOOOOWWWW key. I didn’t end up falling asleep last night till 230am!! who am I? I was up texting my son’s dad……….yep.

Anywho, today included sleeping in, heading to the pool

And then I went to get my birthday present

I got a trimmer from my parents for my birthday. Funny-yes. Needed-defiantly.

Nooowwww to learn how to use it haha

Andrew had a blast.

Now im watching Iron Man, and going to bed. I work tomorrow, and my goal this week is to get sleep and get to the gym!

Question for you:

How did you spend your weekend?

For your birthday, do you prefer practical gifts?

Yellow Brick Road

Yes everyone the kitchen is OFFICIALLY yellow! Its 11pm and I have to work tomorrow, so enjoy the pictures!

NEXT on the list!!!

Getting the cabinets up tomorrow and picking a counter top…

Another big decision………..Im tired haha

There are a few bad things: I havent worked out much (but Ive been moving my butt from sun up to sun down), I havent gotten much sleep

The good: My mom asked if I have lost weight. Im not sure, havent had a chance to check the scale. But I dont think I have.

SOOOOOOOOOOO what does everyone think????

I hope you like it 🙂

Before and After Pictures

Dirt Bath

Today it was a MILLION degrees in St louis. But my house has to get done sometime!

After church I was starving, and stuck with the good o’ egg/banana/ PB sandwich haha

Then off to my house to sand the kitchen walls. My brother put the mud on this week. There was white stuff everywhere! I told my dad that I aged 40 years working in my house already haha. It was all in my hair!

I then pulled a million weeds in the front yard, and then attacked this!

we worked for 5 hours at my house! We got a lot done, but still has a way to go before my Bday on saturday!

I then took a bath, because this wouldnt do….

gross I knoow. there was more dirt on me than on the ground. I was a mess!

Luckily I thought ahead, and put a pork tenderloin in the crock pot with potatoes, carrots, water, and spices

and it was ready for dinner at 6!

it was delicious! I also needed something sweet! (like always!)

I know they make PB with chocolate. But I just put PB, then melt the chocolate chips and then spread. it does a body good!

The finally plan of the evening, shaving my son’s hair. He wanted a mohawk and since he isnt in school and doesnt get to decide many things, I went with it.

Before Picture

He loves it haha

He looks A LOT like his dad now….who has the same hair cut haha

Then I had some popcorn and watched tourist, with JOhnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. It was ok. Nothing special.

Now bed~ more work tomorrow 🙂

Question for you:

Do you let your kids decide their hair cuts?

Do you like Angelina or Johnny?

-I love the pirate of the caribean movies. and I just saw Salt, which was really good!

Wardrobe Changes

The past few days, I had MANY wardrobe changes.

~~~~~~~~~
 Friday I worked a 12 hour shift in the NICU. It was a pretty steady day and I was busy most of the day. Of course I wore good o’ scrubs
from first day in the NICU
I then went to see the Little Mermaid at The MUNY with my son, grandma and mom.
(I had to change in my car in the parking lot. My mom brought me clothes…it was a last min decision haha)
source
The muny is an outdoor theater here in St Louis. I HIGHLY recommend it!
~~~~~~~~~~

Saturday was started with a kickball tournament of the Squirrels! Where I wore the official uniform!

We ended up losing (darn. Im obviously upset) Then it was time to shower and off to my friend’s baby shower

Change two!

dress #1

 My new pink dress from old navy (only 13 bucks!)

The shower was fun. We were there for three hours eating fruit and dip,

 spinach artichoke dip, veggies, crackers, and of course mini cakes!

My friend and her husband decided not to find out what they are having…I think it will be a girl. We will see!

THIRD change for the BBQUE.

yep another dress. and with my  cool shades from target.

It was SOOO hot. But Andrew had a blast playing baseball with my guy friends.

The bbque including chicken, ketchup (of course) pasta salad,

cookies, and buffalo chicken dip (which I dominated haha)

Sorry not many photos today. Wardrobe changes take a lot of my time haha

Question for you:

If you had a kiddo, did you find out if it was a boy/girl?

-I found out with Andrew. I didn’t want anymore surprises haha

If you dont have kids, do you think you will find out or let it be a surprise?

What is your favorite disney movie?
