Pot Roast And Squash Cake

 Beef Pot Roast


-1 boneless beef chuck roast

– 1 can cream of chicken

– 1 package of onion soup mix

– 4 stalks of celery, chopped

– 4 cups of carrots

-4 white pototoes (chopped)

– enough water to cover


– Cut all veggies.

-Place meat into bottom of pan

-top with other ingredients

– Turn crock pot on to desired cooking time

(original recipe from whole foods. Theirs is not a crock pot recipe)

Spiced Butternut Squash Cake



-1.5 c whole wheat pastry flour

-1/2 c sugar

– 1/3 c flaxseed

– 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

– 1/2 tsp salt

– 1/2 tsp baking soda


– 1 c pureed butternut squash (canned or fresh)

– 1/2 c Cranraisins

– 1/2 c skim milk

– 2 small ripe bananas, mashed

– 1 egg


– Preheat oven to 350

– Mix wet and dry ingredients separately. Then add dry to the wet. Mix completely.

– Spray 8X8 pan.  And add ingredients

– Bake for 30 minutes
