St Nick’s Day

Did you remember to put out your shoes for st nick’s last night?

Well he came to visit at our house. Unfortuantly, Justin took advantage of the candy haha

I heard that some cities don’t celebrate St Nick’s day 😦

Did you celebrate as a kid?

Do you celebrate now?

  1. I hadn’t heard of it until I started working at the school where I work! In fact, I have to work early today since they are having a retired pastor come and tell the story about St. Nicholas…I wish that I’d have known about it when my girls were younger…I think it’s a wonderful way to connect the birth of Jesus, and what He did for us with the Santa Claus part of Christmas. The joy of giving (and not always receiving!) is what Christmas is about…

      1. I’ll find out if there is a book the pastor used or if he just told the story…the kids were telling me about it – it was a very good connection…

  2. Yeah, Catholic school for 7 years so… LOL. I like the celebration at my parent’s church (no Catholic, Russian Orthodox). I think its this weekend for them. I thought everyone knew the story? Ha!
