I hadn’t heard of it until I started working at the school where I work! In fact, I have to work early today since they are having a retired pastor come and tell the story about St. Nicholas…I wish that I’d have known about it when my girls were younger…I think it’s a wonderful way to connect the birth of Jesus, and what He did for us with the Santa Claus part of Christmas. The joy of giving (and not always receiving!) is what Christmas is about…
I would have LOVED to hear the story of st nicholas and how he is apart of christmas. Last night andrew asked, and I was stumbling a bit haha
I’ll find out if there is a book the pastor used or if he just told the story…the kids were telling me about it – it was a very good connection…
I have never celebrated St. Nick’s day 😦 I love the idea! And that Justin is quite the thief! haha
Yeah, Catholic school for 7 years so… LOL. I like the celebration at my parent’s church (no Catholic, Russian Orthodox). I think its this weekend for them. I thought everyone knew the story? Ha!
