First Day of Spring


Happy First day of Spring!

I am looking forward to nice weather, outside workouts, and more vitamin D!

I’m not a huge fan of winter, except the occasional snow


Andrew and I have a “pet” bunny. He was a tiny bunny last year, and now lives comfortably right under our deck. Meet Nibbles


He definitely makes me smile. And our flowers coming up in the backyard do as well.


Today, I made it to the gym, ate healthy, and am now going to a First Communion meeting with Andrew and his dad.

Time to go get dressed up 🙂

The past week has been a little rough for me. Basically I have been picking on myself a lot. From the weight lose (that isn’t happening), to being the only one without a boyfriend (yep. im in 5th grade again haha), and a jam packed schedule.

I decided to share a few songs that have been keeping me moving and lift my spirits

Rewinding the past few days

I have been a pretty bad blogger the past few days. It has been so crazy, that I even didn’t eat a lunch on Friday. (mostly just random things here and there)

(rewind to Thursday)

I headed out for a Mexican dinner with my cousins, and close family friends that I have known since before grade school. I had a billion chips and salsa, along with a margarita


(rewind to Friday)

On Friday, I was running nonstop for a get together with work friends that I was hosting at my home. All the errands, and cleaning up from the tornado that went through Andrew’s room was because I was having some girls over.

I ALWAYS have a blast with them. I feel like I can be myself, and we talk about EVERYTHING! Not only that, but they are the most intelligent, sarcastic, and inspirational group I know. I always leave work in a good mood because of them. I feel better about myself just  being with them. I swear sometimes they are my free psychiatrists haha

(Finally Saturday)

Andrew and I headed to the gym (my eating/working out has been horrible) After that we headed to a friends to help my friend Chrissy. Not only to lift her spirit, but to head to Target (some of  my finds)



Later, my friend Jessica and Sarah from college came over to catch up with each other.

And the weekend isn’t over. Tomorrow is St Patrick’s Day, so make sure you have your leprechaun name!

Errands and new TJ finds

The beginning of the week was all about work. And today, I felt like I was hit by a bus (again).

No time to dwell, its time to get moving ! Lots to do: party to plan, food to buy, and house to clean

It might not look like it, but I was gone from 10am to 1:30pm running errands. I was beat.

Paleo Apple Muffins

On Saturday, I needed something sweet, but didn’t want to ruin my day of eating healthy. Luckily, I have a few recipes laying around for such occasions.


Paleo Apple Muffin

servings 12-14


  • 2 1/4 cups almond meal
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 apple finely chopped
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon


1.) Preheat oven 350 degrees

2.) Mash banana, chop apple, and mix with all the ingredients

3.) Fill muffin tins

4.) Bake for 15-20 min

I didn’t have enough almond meal, so I had to use tapioca flour.


I couldn’t tell a difference, they were delicious!


Although, it was a little messier when I dropped the bag haha

First run of the year

Yesterday, I decided to get my act together and track my food and workouts.

Breakfast: 2eggs, 1 egg white, with peppers and sausage. side of bacon


Gym time: 30 min on the bike, 30 min weights

Morning pick me up: coffee with whipping cream


Lunch: Leftover stew


Dessert: Using something new! (recipe on Monday)


Snack: Frozen Blueberry, spinach, protein powder, PB2 (1tbsp), and water (green monster with my smart stick!)


Well then. I worked out again. No joke. A few of the moms got together on a BEAUTIFUL 60 degree weather day for a run. My very first of the year. (again no joke)

After the half marathon last year, my knee and ankle were bothering me. I took some time off. Switched back to older shoes. And the 3 mile run was a success! No knee of ankle pain! I also got to catch up with other moms. I swear there is nothing like talking with another mom about your worries, concerns, or frustrations.

The weather, endorphins, and talk made me feel a MILLION times better
