Putting workouts on the TO DO LIST

Did anyone notice something missing from my freakishly long  TO DO LIST??

Well, my body wasn’t havin’ it. So this morning, it woke me up at 4am. I laid in bed pondering what to do, try to go back to bed and feel worse in an hour and a half when I wake up, or get moving!!!

Well, time to get moving!

First workout was another pinterest find.

I really like this one because I didn’t get bored. it keeps switching up and you get your heart rate up!

A little repetitive for my liking, but it DEFINITELY gets the job done. I was sweating by the end! and I only did the second part!

What it takes to plan a Party

Today I have been overly planning Andrew’s First Communion party that is THIS SUNDAY!

First, I started with the guest list, which includes family and so far is up to 31 people! Next, I started my weekly planning. Each day either cleaning, ordering, or buying something. I have a lot to do before Sunday, and if I spread it out between the days, hopefully I won’t be AS overwhelmed at the end of the week…..

Planning for the party:

  • Monday: work, clean off Andrew’s desk
  • Tuesday: Work, pick up basement (dad mowing grass!)
  • Wednesday: 8-12 work. Target run. Order sandwiches. Order pictures for bathroom frames. Bank.
  • Thursday: Sams, party city, chairs and tables from mom and dad’s, pick up around the house (deep clean Fri)
  • Friday: Clean bedroom, basement, living room and green room. Spray tan
  • Saturday: Pick up cake, sandwiches, trader joe’s flowers. Clean Bathroom and Kitchen. Make chocolate covered strawberries.
  • Sunday: FIRST COMMUNION! (mom picking up balloons) Pictures at 12:30 🙂

You might be asking why my dad is mowing the grass, well besides he is awesome! The weather is looking like rain for the rest of the week! And since I work, he is going to cut it for me. I’m one lucky lady 🙂

Hopefully the meterologist are wrong this time 😉

TO DO LIST: love them or hate them?

Trying new things and UPDATES!

WOW. what a crazy 24 hours! My cousin’s wedding was yesterday and was an absolute blast! We danced the night away (along with a few hours of sleep haha) I plan to update you in the next few days!

Today, was a day of new things! (like the small hangover I had after my brother made me try moonshine. It wasn’t a good idea. haha)

Andrew and I started the day with a visit to a new church! My friend at work attends Jubilee, and for weeks has been suggesting it, and this week was just the right time!

Andrew actually said this was his favorite church to go to so far!!! Lots of upbeat songs, they even had a cello! We will be going back

We then headed to lunch with two friends that I went to high school with, and we tried a new place! Russell’s Cafe

Andrew tried the french toast (I of course stole a few bites) It was AMAZING! I went with 1/2 farmer’s stand salad, and 1/2 pork tenderloin sandwich.

A few people MAY already know, but my brother and sister in law found out they were pregnant in February! While having dinner for my dad’s birthday, the family started to get a bit sarcastic with me, and I said “Thats it. You’re having twins.” Well a few weeks later, they found out THEY WERE having twins!!!!!!!!

And just this weekend they found out they are having a BOY and a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!! If I seem to have a lot of exclamations, its because I am SO excited!! The babies are due at the beginning of October 🙂

A sucky update, is about the date I was suppose to have last week. Well Dan apparently got the flu, of course with my history I didn’t believe him. Then we rescheduled for today. All through the week we have been talking, he even wanted to meet up a few nights this week, but Andrew was in bed asleep. Then Sunday rolls around…and he doesn’t respond to my text….

UMMM wtf?!?! I guess I will never understand guys. But I’ve read He’s Just Not That Into You, and I think there was a part in there about this! haha

Instead of having a sucky evening because of dummy dan, Andrew and I got in our pjs and brought down everything from his bedroom, and played Star Wars Monopoly

I also tried to get my week together, because I work and have a few classes, and also have to clean my house and get ready for Andrew’s First Communion next Monday.

Wedding Weekend Workout

Life has been absolutely insane the past couple of days, and I can’t even think were to begin…….

Well, I will tell you about today haha

My cousin is getting married later today, and Andrew is in the wedding! (he looks so good in his tux)

I still think this is funny

So I woke up early to get a workout in! I started with this ten minute workout

And finished up with part of this workout (I just did the light blue)

I loved both workouts! I was huffing and puffing in the first one, and the second one I put on pitbull on pandora, and got moving! This song kept me going

Then it was breakfast time, with a BIG iced coffee from Mcdonalds (Im going to need it today!)

New recipes + New Date

I hope everyone had a great Wednesday! Mine included the gym, a visit to hold an adorable baby, and odds and ends around the house.

I also found a few recipes to pass along:

I also watched Pride and Prejudice. AGAIN. Its getting ridiculous with Mr Darcy haha. But I will tell you, I have a date Saturday!! EEKK!!

I signed up for match.com just to see whats out there. (let me tell you, its tough pickings out there!) I just wanted to start getting back out there. So I started to talk to Dan. He is 34 year old, trainer who now manages a Gold gym. He has a 7 year old girl. Is active, healthy, religious, and makes me laugh. The first time we talked for an hour on the phone. Now if I can just get passed his big muscles to form a sentence haha

we have our first date this weekend Ill keep you guys in the loop! It might be interesting

Comparing weeks: Carbs vs Protein

After a week of losing weight (5lbs!!!), I didn’t want to get back into my old habits ( man. I missed my apples, bananas, and PB!) But I didn’t want to go back to my carb relationship (we broke up for good!)

So I wanted to show how my diet has changed in the past few weeks…….

2 weeks ago (not so much) Diet :

Breakfast: oatmeal pancake (oats, pumpkin, egg, PB) starbucks via coffee

Snack: hard boiled egg

Lunch: hamburger (no bun) bacon, american cheese, ketchup, celery

Dessert: Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate

Snack: carrots

Dinner: Breakfast for dinner (banana & egg pancake. butter, agave nectar 3 sausage links, strawberries)

 

Last week Dukan Diet:

Breakfast: Egg, 2 large, Jennie-O Turkey Bacon-1 slice, 3 serving. Coffee with skim milk

Snack: Turkey Pepperoni, low fat string cheese, and deli turkey

Lunch: 3oz chicken, fat free philadelphia cream cheese, wrapped in bacon

Dessert:  Dannon Light and Fit  Greek Vanilla Yogurt, chia seeds

Snack: 2 babybel cheese, turkey pepperoni

Dinner: Dukan Pancake: 2 egg whites (fluffed), oat bran, cinnamon, fat free philadelphia cream cheese, truvia

Comparing the two weeks:

Carb week: Calories 1983, carbs 162, fat 117, protein 73

Dukan week: Calories 1090, carbs 42, fat 54, protein 111

I CAN NOT believe the difference in the numbers, but I will tell you I feel a million times better! I have more energy,  I sleep better, my clothes fit better, no bloating!!!

The only issues I have:  on dukan you have to drink a ton of water, and even though I did, it still can make things move slowly…. (if you catch my drift) Also, I want to eat more “natural” foods, but I think this is a great start! I just had to share the difference

five pounds down

A week ago, I started the Dukan Diet with my cousin, and I had an AMAZING experience with it! The low fat, low calorie, high protein helped me get off my love of carbohydrates!!! WAHOOO!!!!!

Basically, I just eat low fat protein. No carbs. no veggies. no fruit. for 7 days (my cousin did it for 5)

Some typically food:

  • turkey pepperoni
  • low fat string cheese
  • babybel
  • low fat greek yogurt vanilla
  • turkey deli meat
  • eggs
  • turkey bacon/sausage
  • ground chicken/turkey

The first two days I had a HORRIBLE headache. I drank water like it was my job! But I never caved to the carbs. It was actually a really big wake up call for me, on how much I depend on carbs.

I am down 5lbs, and I feel amazing! No bloating, or feeling that Im stuffing myself in my clothes. The next step in the diet is to add veggies every other day. I’m not sure if I will continue, but I know I’m getting rid of the carbs. IT. ISN’T. WORTH. IT!!!!!!!!

I want to be a healthy, not overweight mom. Here is to a healthy start! And 30 more lbs to go!
