Trader Joe’s vs Sam’s

Today, I am feeling a million times better, and I was able to get a ton done! I headed to not one, but TWO stores today for groceries. I think it was because I really wanted to go to Trader Joe’s, but they just didn’t have everything

First Stop: Sam’s

Next stop: Trader Joe’s

What I Ate Wednesday

This What I Ate Wednesday, is actually from Monday. I worked Tuesday and Wednesday, and those are usually pretty boring

Breakfast: Almond Pancakes (without the agave nectar), PB topping, and sausage

PB topping: 1 tbsp PB, 1/3 scoop vanilla protein, and water. Mix and enjoy!

Breakfast looked very “brown” , so I tried to make lunch colorful

Lunch: Baked Chicken Wings, cucumbers, and watermelon

Dessert: Paleo Cookies from Civilized Caveman (these things are AMAZING!)

Dinner: Steak, green beans, and a peach

-I would have to say bananas because I use them in a lot of recipes, I have been missing them lately 😦

Paleo Recipes!

Well I guess the stress has finally caught up with me. Today I took Andrew to school, and then slept till 11. I mean I can NEVER do that. I usually can only sleep till 6:30 haha.
I told myself, that I would just lay down for an hour. But my body had other plans. Even when I woke up, I didn’t feel like 100%. BLAH

After running a few errands, like getting my bike a good tune up! I head home to relax and look up new recipes!

Last week, I was eating really well, but I need to start branching out! Eating the same things will just result in me eating the “wrong” foods.

I found some new recipes that I wanted to share with you!

I know that these are all paleo, and though I don’t eat 100% paleo, I try each day to each has “natural” as possible. When I do, I have more energy, sleep better, and my belly is thankful too

Weekly workouts effected by stress

This week was more about getting my stress under control, not working out. Luckily, I did get in three good workouts to help de-stress a bit.

Sunday: rest

Monday: 16mile bike ride

Tuesday: rest

Wedneday: rest

Thursday: 14mile bike ride

Friday: rest

Saturday: 30 min elliptical 30 min Angela’s workout

This week has been very stressful. I think being out of town the past couple of weeks, and the other days working, I haven’t had a day at home since July. My sister in law, who is pregnant with twins, start contracting on Monday. Luckily they were able to slow the contractions. I have been helping with my three year old nephew (who I love!) but it takes up all my time and I haven’t been able to get anything done. Which then makes me anxious. There are other “things” going on, but lets not dwell…

I will say there are TON of emotions going on over here, but I have been doing great with the “eats”. With lots of healthy options, I haven’t turned to sweets! WAHOOO!!!!

A perfect day with Andrew

The day started off early with just me and Andrew. It was so nice not to have any place to be, and we were just laying around before it was time for breakfast

I started with eggs, peppers, bacon, 2 sausage links, and blueberries

The rest of the day included running to Target, and cleaning the house!

Andrew and I tackled his desk and a few closets! (I got rid of so much junk!)

Then it was lunch and off to a swim party for Andrew’s friend!

yep, I had lunch with superman 🙂

Andrew went to the party, and I headed to the gym! I need some sweat and to de-stress. It definitely helped!

Then we went to dinner with my mom and nephew, and we went for a walk

The neighbors were having a party, with a band! So we went exploring….

It really was a great Saturday, just me and Andrew 🙂

After my “issue” at my house a few weeks ago (where someone broke in) I thought it was time to buy some new curtains for the living room and dining!

SO they had the style but not the length, so I ordered them online with Andrew’s new school pants and shorts And I love how they turned out!

Later I will show you the ones in the living room, they are light tan and just not that exciting. (yup I get excited about curtains, OH WELL!) I also want to paint the chandelier. All in good time
