At the beginning of the week, I was working a lot and having some major mommy guilt. The feeling that you should always be playing with, talking with, and spending quality time with your kiddo. Which of course is really important, but is not possible 24/7. I mean, I have to work so we CAN go and have fun. Luckily, I had some great friends at work that talked about all the fun Andrew and I would have this weekend, since I worked earlier.
So today was the day!
First, we started with Andrew’s Derby Race with boy scouts. My brother and dad helped Andrew put together the watermelon. This year was food theme.
Next up, was bowling
We played three games and had a few laughs
And last, was dinner at a local Mexican restaurant. YUMMY. We played hangman and tic tac toe before our food arrived. It is becoming a tradition.
And even though my house is still not put together, and the Christmas stuff is still not put away, we had a great Saturday together
Question for you:
What food derby car would you make?
– We saw a lot of hershey bars, eggs, and watermelon
