A perfect Sunday with a hula hoop

I can not tell you how happy I am. It is Sunday evening, and I sitting here so content. I know that sounds strange to say, but a few weeks ago, I did not feel that way. But today was SO different…

Andrew and I both slept in till 8 or so. Just how I like Sundays to start. I of course started with coffee

And a new coffee recipe! This is a pumpkin spice latte recipe from civilized caveman

Next up, getting Toby πŸ™‚ He just always makes my day. And the fall weather πŸ˜‰

P1080328(Toby is a baby I watched for a week over the summer, and I still see him every week. I absolutely adore him. So we had him for the day!)

We headed to Mount Pleasant Winery with a few members of my family. It was such a pretty day

Andrew got really good and had a competition with my cousin

We had so much fun! And I love being with Andrew and Toby, it is the perfect day. I wish it didn’t have to end.

Question for you:

What would be included in your perfect day?

Celebrating the big 2-8

Hi everyone!Β I know I have been “missing” lately when it comes to the blogging world, but I have to say, I have been out exploring the world, enjoying my summer with Andrew, and otherwise I work (BLAH). But I do have a lot to tell you guess! I promise!

special day :)
special day πŸ™‚

Today I turned the big 2.8. It started off like any other day, trying to sleep in waking up to Andrew’s voice (or him jumping on my bed)

We had breakfast, nothing special, and went to the library.

Then at 10:30 we went to see the baby who stayed with us for 6 days a few weeks ago. I swear if ANYWAY can cheer me up, it is this little guy. And he started crawling!!!

Ok. enough gushing about him. Andrew and I then went to the pool. He brought a friend and I swam a mile!!!!!

I know that isn’t a big deal for some, I mean I used to swim mileS in practiceΒ  in highschool and college. But it has been about 2 years since I was swimming with the masters team. I COMPLETELY miss swimming. I actually swam last Saturday as well.

After a few hours at the pool, we headed to my parents for the confetti cake. Ok. really for family dinner I mean the cake haha

P1070494(the flames of each candle were the same color as the candle, very cool)

We had lots of goofy pictures

And then I got the best present EVER!!!

P1070502 P1070503

I have ALWAYS wanted one, but I would never spend that kind of money on myself (just privacy fences haha)

I can’t wait to try this before work tomorrow! I swear I will have more posts coming up- lots to catch you up on πŸ™‚

Question for you:

What kind of coffee do you like?

What month is your birthday?

Teeth are a pain

It appears that my house and life is consumed by baby stuff.

And thats just the kitchen.

Last night, the baby woke up at 10pm! and didn’t finally settle until 2am. For that time period, he would wake up screaming, I would calm him, he would sleep for 10-30 (just enough time for me to fall back asleep) and then start the whole process over.

I tried to figure out if it was stomach related, diaper related, bottle related, then I realized it was his teeth. He is cutting three teeth right now! pool little fella.

baby2(NOT the baby Im watching, just a hilarious pacifier picture I found here.)

Needless to say, today was filled with lots of coffee, a few meltdowns (by everyone) and naps for two of us.

To celebrate surviving the day, I had these!

Andrew and I are now watching Ice Age to relax before bed. Hoping and praying I get more sleep tonight. My meal selections have been absolutely ridiculous. (although carrying a 20 lb baby around is a workout!)

Just for laughs, because I need them!

Question for you:

How many hours of sleep to you get/ do you require?

-I like to get 7-8 hours πŸ˜‰
