Strike out cancer at the cardinals game

Just a few nights ago, my parents, Andrew, and I headed to the ballpark to support not only the Cardinals, but to support Strike out Cancer

In March, when I was diagnosed with kidney cancer, I knew that I wanted to do something. anything to try and make a difference.  still haven’t found that perfect match for me, but we did have tickets to THIS exact game.

See in December, we buy my dad tickets to the Cardinals game. And the game to raise awareness for cancer was apart of that package. So unknown to us, but this game was in that package. And I think, God knew we would need this night.

The night started off with a photo shoot

6 months ago I had surgery, and it still seem unreal. You can find Strike Out Cancer tshirts here in all colors and from other pro baseball players

Question for you:

Do you have anyone close to was diagnosed with canner?

D you raise money for a certain cause that is close to you?

A busy absence

Hello again everyone! I feel like I do really well with blogging then when I work several days in a row, I can’t blog about much. Well I COULD blog about how tired I am, but who wants to hear that!?!?! haha

Anyway, after the baby went home, I worked five 12 hour shifts in a row. I even worked out after two of them! I was proud of myself.

Finally I was off! The past two days have included my favorite class at the gym, a nap, and going to the Cardinals game with my friends Jessica and Sarah

I went to nursing school with them, and absolutely adore them! We can be away from eachother for weeks, and then get back together, it is no different than when we were in school. Love them!

Wednesday, was just a whole bunch of running around. I had to renew my license (my bday is next week!), take Andrew to vacation bible school, visit the baby, get Andrew to the library and get his hair cut.

Doesn’t he look so tough!?!?! haha. He wanted to be able to spike it 🙂

Afterwards, we stayed low at home. I ate my salad while watching So You Think You Can Dance.

So good. I wish I could dance 1/2 as well as they do

Then it was off to my brother’ and future sister in laws’ house to meet their new puppy Charlie

Question for you:

What food dish do you usually bring to get togethers?

-I always bring the veggie tray. my friends always plan make fun of me for it!

Would you rather sing or dance really well?

-Dance definitely!

First Cardinals Game!

Well, our first game was a chilly 44 degree (windy 35) degree game, but we made the most of it! There was a fundraiser for tickets (for my cousins highschool) and several of my family members bundled up for the game!

Question for you:

How as your friday?

Are you a big baseball fan?

Cardinals photo shoot

Today started with an amazing pancake recipe, thanks to Angela! Recipe to come tomorrow 🙂

Then it was time for the gym. I went w/ 7 miles on the list. I really didn’t want to, but I wanted to make my training buddies proud, so I stuck with it. I didn’t go extremely fast but I did finish! (and trust me, I wanted to stop at 4, 5, and 6 miles haha)

The day concluded with the Cardinals game 🙂

Only 103 degrees at 7pm. No big deal

We stayed cool with ice cream

And lots of funny pictures

Well, one normal one haha

Question for you:

Is it hot where you are ?

It hit 109 degrees yesterday!!!

Walking the field

Last night at the Cardinals baseball game, Andrew and his baseball team got to walk around Busch Stadium. I was completely jealous, I don’t think I have ever step foot on the new field

Next, it was time to move to our seats for the game. They were QUITE high in the sky, but we still had a great time.

Andrew and I left before the game was over, because he was actually laying his head on my lap about to fall asleep.

Question for you:

What are you up to this weekend?

– I am working and painting the bathroom! WAHOOO!

Candy overload

Wow. I was TIRED after last night. I met everyone for dinner around 5:30. And then pretty much drank and hung out with the gang and was home at 1130.

But I think the drinking and running yesterday (and the fact that Im an old lady) made me exhausted. I even took a nap today haha

The morning started with breakfast of a plain o’ omlet and the parade!

(this is for NON st louisians)

In st louis, there are many catholic grade schools. And many of them have homecomings at the begining of the year, with rides, drinks, games, and it all starts with a parade. And LOTS and LOTS of candy. Andrew got a WHOLE bag full

THen it was time for lunch and a nap

He also had his first soccer game! (unfortuantly my mom stole took her camera back to take pics at the homecoming. (she is one of the official photographers. Now you see where I get my taking a million pic skills from)

Then it was time for the cardinals game!

Andrew with my dad

Tomorrow I have NOTHING written on the calendar…what to do…what to do….

Question for you:

Does your old gradeschool have homecomings?

what are you doing this weekend?
