New Years Day Ice Skating

Happy New Year everyone! Taking a short break from 2013 rewinds, to share our New Years Day adventures. Can you believe it is 2014?!?! I still can’t believe it. But December seemed to fly by! I have a feeling this year is going to be AMAZING 🙂

For New Year’s Eve I headed to my friend Katie’s boyfriend’s house. We played headbanz (still love Ellen’s headsup better..) but we still had a blast and LOTS of laughs. We also played beer pong, which I am surprisingly rusty haha. All in all it was a great evening with friends

This morning, I wasn’t feeling so hot, but I still made it to the gym and then Andrew and I went ice skating

By the end, Andrew was skating on his own! We might have to try again this weekend 🙂

Question for you:

Would you rather roller skate or ice skate?

-Defiantly roller skate for me

Fence is up! Thanks to my family

The past few days have been pretty crazy.

The baby arrived on Friday morning! I just can’t describe how excited I am to have this little fella here. I wish I could share everything with you guys. Lets just say he is adorable!

Also, Andrew has been a great helper. I am so glad he such a good listener. Especially when we went to listen to live music at the St Louis zoo. I didn’t take many pictures (the baby is a handful) but we did get this one!

Friday night was a little restless, just because every time the baby moved, I woke up. Hopefully tonight I am more used to his bed being next to mine

Saturday morning started nice and early! The baby and I got up early and did laundry, had breakfast, and lots of coffee (for me). It was great to wake up to a smiley baby 🙂

And this is why we were up early…..

I can not tell you how appreciative I am of ALL my family coming over and helping put up the fence

9 hours later. geez.

After two days of nonstop with the baby, Andrew, and the fence (on top of andrews baseball game, trips to homedepot, etc etc) I need a bit of a break. Time for bed!

Question for you:

What do you do when you first wake up?

Shedd’s aquarium

After arriving in style in Chicago on Friday, it was time to hit the ground running!

We headed straight to Shedd’s aquarium. Luckily, I packed breakfast and snacks (yogurt, granola, hummus, carrots, cucumbers, and pecans) on the train and wasn’t hungry.

The aquarium was absolutely amazing! Just take a look at the pictures!!!

  sea turtle!

 sea horse

JELLIES!!!! (said in Finding Nemo voice!)

after 6 hours in a train and two hours at the aquarium, dont judge! haha (minus my mom)

the blue thing on the left is a really pretty fish

 GROSSSSSSS

After the aquarium (and problems in the park garage- they weren’t going to let me out!) we headed back to my cousin’s condo, changed into comfy clothes, and ate a million gardetto’s got some pizzas!

….more to come tomorrow!

Question for you:

Would you rather go to an aquarium, museum, or planetarium?

– Aquarium for me!

Taking the train!

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend’s posts included a cake recipe , a november recap, and the posts were all over the place, but there is a reason. I was in CHICAGO!!!!

I sent up some blogs, just to have something because I knew I wouldn’t have time in the windy city. And I was right! It was crazy!!! we were up early, and didn’t go to bed till 11 or 12!

The trip started on Friday at 5:15am!!! (EEEKKK!!!) And it all started w/ the train. My cousin and grandma rode the train, while my mom and aunt drove the van. My grandma wanted to take the train, and it was ALL ABOARD!

We started the morning w/ some pictures and then we were off!

Do I look tired or what!?!? haha

The ride was actually really nice. It just got long towards the end, when we found out my mom and aunt were already in chicago and we still had awhile to go 😦

We got there around one, and got picked up by my cousin Jill who lives in Chicago (which I am so jealous of) and then we were off on more adventures.

…..more to come tomorrow….
