Follow up Weekly Goals 1

Last week, was a week for new beginnings for me. I wanted to refocus on my health, both physically and emotionally. I noticed that I was straying away from things that keep me…well…together. Working out, eating well, sleep. They ALL effect me A LOT! I decided to set some goals, to get back on track 🙂

1.) keep track of food on myfitnesspal MET: Kept Track EVeryday!

2.) try to keep calories -500 for the day UMM: I did great until this weekend.

3.) workout on days on off (if it happenes after a 12hour shift too,  great! ) MET: p90x3 still going great!

4.) get 10,000 steps a day NOPE: I did great Monday,Tuesday, and Wednesday getting almost 12,000 steps! I guess it balanced out to 10,000 a day.

5.) bed by 10 I did really good about this until Friday and Saturday. (then I was crabby on the weekend)

6.) do One Destressing thing a day Need to do better at this…

7.) off the computer phone unless answering a phone call when Andrew is home. Put it in my purse and LEAVE IT THERE!

So it seems I didn’t do too bad, but that definitely by the end of the week I lost track of my goals. I am going to follow along with these as well as add the new one #7. I have been HORRIBLE about talking to him while having the phone in my hand. It is so easy to be checking email, facebook, twitter. And guess what, its all ridiculous and I need to pay more attention to him. I might even print these and put them on the frig 🙂

My clothes are fitting SO much better, even my jeans need a belt! I can’t wait to go down a size!

Nutrition:  Million times better

This week I really watched my carbs, and at the most 80 one day.

Workouts: Got it together!

  • Saturday: 12 hour shift
  • Sunday: 12 hour shift
  • Monday:  1 hr spin class
  • Tuesday: 12 hour shift
  • Wednesday: 12 hour shift
  • Thursday: 1 hr kickboxing class
  • Friday: 30min bike + 10 min rowing

Even though I only had 3 workouts, and HELLO 12 hour shifts! I still felt great and am so glad I went to the gym today. I almost didn’t go because I was sore from kickboxing, but I found a new love- the Rowing machine

Sleep quality and duration:  Could have been better.

With my stress level, I didn’t get the best sleep.

How I was feeling: really stressed

At the beginning of the week, I had a rough few days. Between work and home, I needed a break. Luckily, I had four days off at the end of the week and I am SOAKING up all stress free time. I am getting lots done, hitting the gym, and being with Andrew. It is perfect.

Things I did well: Workouts and eats. And weight lose!

Things I need to work on: sleep and decrease stress

Alrighty. I think we are all caught up with Christmas of 2012. And nothing to update you with New Years Eve because I was working, and sleeping when the clock hit midnight (no biggie for me, I’m not big on that holiday)

Anyway, I have so EXCITING news! Mr Flowers and I are planning a trip. Just. The. Two. Of. Us!!!!! It will be at the beginning of next month. I happen to be off work the same weekend as his birthday (Luck? I think so!)  Today, I did a lot of planning for things to do, and lots of book downloads. Our plan is to sleep (ALOT!) and relax. DONE and DONE!

Other exciting news, we got Andrew’s derby car ready for the boy scout race this Saturday.

Andrew also got a hold of my computer, and I now have a new background (I’m sure Angela is loving this!)IMG_0820And now he wants a cat………

On a more serious note, one of goals for some time now, has been to disconnect. And here is whyIMG_0816Ipod getting charged. Webcam to skype with Mr Flowers. Computer and nook. Even with all these electronics, I think I have been doing a good job of getting away  when Andrew is home. After bedtime, its all about me and my nook. I LOVEEE IT!!!

Day 1: smaller pants

Well, I accomplished two of my three goals.

#1 Get to the gym!

20 min on the stationary bike for 5 miles

10 min on the elliptical

30 min of weights

#2 Chart food

Fail. I didn’t do this, but I will work on it.

After Andrew got off school, we got a new game, BATTLESHIP. We had a blast! We were almost late to boyscouts.

Tuesday: 9:00 Muscle works

Wednesday: 9:30 Drills to make you sweat

Thursday: 10:00 YOGA!

Friday: 8:30 Butts and Guts

Saturday and Sunday: Rest days I work 😦

So I have a plan for the workouts, now I just need to get the food in check.  Luckily, it wasn’t hard to unplug from the computer. I need to start spending more quality time with Andrew. He is getting so big so fast!

Time for goals (and smaller pants)

This week, I kind of had a good o’ talk to my self. It came down to.

I don’t want to be a fat mom. I want to fit in my clothes. I want…I want…I want….

Well. I AM THE ONLY one who can make this happen.

So I made some very simple goals

#1 Workout everyday that I am off work.

I work three 12 hour shifts. That is 4 days a week that I will be at the gym, running outside, or doing a workout DVD

#2 Track food.

Thats right, I am back on sparkpeople. The first day wasn’t pretty. I am krissyswim16 on there if you want to follow along!

#3 Get out of my pjs and off the computer

I love my pjs. But if I stay in them, I don’t get moving, and I feel that I have wasted my whole day. I also need to unplug.

I know that these goals might be easy for some. And I am not one that can follow monthly goals, or a big plan. I like it simple. haha.

November Superlatives

November was such a busy and FUN month!  I really found that I did a lot of different things around the house, for Andrew and for myself! (which I am always working on!)

  • For Around the House

-I first received a great item! That now holds our passports, important documents, and special items. My first lock box!

-I finally started decorating the upstairs bathroom- it looks so much better. It was so bare before!

-I signed up for pinterest, and found a MILLION things I want to try. (now I just need about 60 hours in a day!)

-I finally put away the fall decorations, and started getting ready for christmas. Now I just need some christmass CDs (can you believe I don’t own any….my mom is the one w/ the CDs)

  • For Andrew

-We made our first trip to the ER…… EVER. And we are still unsure of why he was acting strange, had a large knot on his head, and said he couldn’t hear……


 -Went to visit the animals at the zoo. Andrew and my nephew had a blast (and I did too!)

Signed up for my FIRST FULL marathon

-I started focusing on what Im actually putting in my mouth. I am a MUCH happier person when I eat “clean”. I started investigating the Paleo Diet…..although I did eat a lot of sugar for a few days after thanksgiving 😦

-I had a ONE ON ONE yoga session. Just me and the teacher. It. was. awesome!

Cooked a few new things, (like baby casserole haha) next month i need to try more!

  • and MORE FUN!

-I became a 14 year old school girl, when I went to see twilight and swooned over Jacob haha

Thanksgiving with my family was amazing. I had so much and it went by WAY too fast! (thank goodness xmas is right around the corner)

-I received a blogger award. My very first! I was thrilled

-Partying a little toooo hard at a “family” wedding. But it was absolutely gorgeous

My goals for Nov were: lose a lb a week and eat better. I defiantly started eating better and working out more. I didnt weigh myself last month, but I know I lost at least 2 lbs and ILL TAKE IT!

Goals for next month are the same: Eat CLEAN. Workout at least 4 times a week. And lose some LBS!
