Review: Donut Shop Iced Coffee

Holy Moly.

I am SO excited about my keurig  (first time since I got it for my birthday), especially when I was able to get this…

I haven’t used it because most of the flavors were for hot coffee. and I just can’t do that in the summer, especially while working outside all day.

Waiting patiently for it to brew…..P1070697

(a whole 10 seconds haha)

Then I poured it over ice. I didn’t have to add a thing, it was delicious!

Question for you:

What is your favorite coffee flavor?

Where is your favorite coffee from/made by?

Putting workouts on the TO DO LIST

Did anyone notice something missing from my freakishly long  TO DO LIST??

Well, my body wasn’t havin’ it. So this morning, it woke me up at 4am. I laid in bed pondering what to do, try to go back to bed and feel worse in an hour and a half when I wake up, or get moving!!!

Well, time to get moving!

First workout was another pinterest find.

I really like this one because I didn’t get bored. it keeps switching up and you get your heart rate up!

The next was Part II of this workout

A little repetitive for my liking, but it DEFINITELY gets the job done. I was sweating by the end! and I only did the second part!

(if you click the workouts, you will go straight to those blogs!)

My treat, and iced coffee with skim milk 🙂 YUM

This was my top pandora song while working out

Oldie. but goodie. 😉

Question for you:

Morning or evening workouts?

Mr Flowers photo shoot

Hi everyone! I have been a little  preoccupied the past few days. Mr Flowers visited!!!!

I worked on Monday, and after work we met at my house for dinner and relaxing by the TV. He drove 8 hrs by himself, and my third 12 hour shift, ended on a crazy hectic note. We needed some down time

The past few days have included walking Andrew to school while drinking coffee. I have converted another person to iced coffee 🙂

We both walked Andrew to school, and then he needed to work a bit each morning. He trades stocks, and luckily he can do that from home. I am interested in what he does for a living, but I only understand about 5% of it. haha

While he worked, I would do laundry, or just sit and read. Yesterday, after work was through, we both were on the couch reading. The quiet was so relaxing and comforting. It was absolutely perfect.

After working or reading for a few hours, we would head to lunch. Some places on our list: Mom’s deli and Rigazzis’, and (my families favorite) Joey B’s.

While driving around, I was able to show him a lot of places that mean a lot to me. My old gradeschool, where I used to lifeguard during the summer, and houses of family and friends. I loved being able to share all of that with him.

We also had a big task this week. Find a house to rent. Mr Flowers and his girls are moving to St Louis in the next ‘few months!! (I can’t contain my excitement) I know this might seem fast for some, but the feeling we have is hard to explain (especially on a blog). I feel that I have know him MUCH longer than a few months.

He has already stolen my heart. And that is not something I give away lightly. We are also very lucky to have family and friends that are very supportive. I think I talk about him nonstop to my family and friends. (I’m suprised they keep answering my calls haha)

Our main “to do” was completed! We found a house for him to rent. We would then pick up Andrew from school and got homework out of the way.

Another task: Introducing him to the family. Thats right. We had a family dinner at my house with my immediate family. I wasn’t really nervous for them to meet. I knew he would fit right in. But I could tell he was nervous.

most uninteresting table EVER haha

A few hours after dinner, ice cream, and letting the kids play, it was time for them to head home. I then received three texts messages saying that they really liked him, and they were so happy for me. (makes me tear up again just thinking about it)

Today, he had to head home. It was extremely tough to let him go. A few hours later, I found a note from him left on the frig. ❤

Mr Flowers will be back in two weeks, let the countdown begin……

Question for you:

Where do you take visitors when they come to your city or town?

Mom and me day: Magic house

Today, Andrew had a mom and me day. Between work, and just the hussle and bussle of life, we haven’t been able to just have a day for us.

After the gym, I grabbed an ice coffee

Andrew got a donut (not healthy. but its a mom and me day! haha)

Then it was off to the Magic House. If you ever come to St Louis, you MUST take the kiddos there. Basically, it is a place for kids to have fun with most activites being about science or just daily activites.

First up the vaccum. You place a ball in one place and it goes through the tubes, and out another based on the suction pressure.

Or you can drive a horse and buggy

Stand inside a huge bubble

Or climb and then slide

There are also multiple “stores”. This one was a pizza parlor

Of course, my favorite was when he tooked care of the babies

This is only a tenth of what they actually have to offer there. It is an amazing place~

After two hours, it was time for lunch! Pizza picnic

Then its time for legos and blanket tents 🙂

Question for you:

What is your favorite city to visit?

-I love going to ANY beach, but my favorite city is Chicago

Here we go again….

How is everyone doing?!? Sorry I didn’t post yesterday, it was CRAZY!!!

Things Andrew and I got accomplished: gym, meeting, out to lunch, doctor’s app. for Andrew, cleaned car, played in sprinkler, and watched a movie w/ some ice cream 🙂

TIred just thinking about it. haha.

Bad new is: Andrew started with the sniffles and deep cough last week. We chopped it up to allergies and the bathroom remodeling. But yesterday, we went to get it checked out (it was just lasting too long) SO he  has an ear infection, is getting his allergy medicine changed, eye drops, and nasal spray. UGGHH. not fun

We are officially our own pharmacy haha

And this is how I am spending my morning. Yep I now have the deep cough (thank you Andrew for all those kisses haha)

Question for yoU:

How did you spend your morning?
