Randoms of the 3 day weekend

This past few days have been a bit of a rollercoaster. I finally started feeling better!! wahoo!!

Andrew and I went rollerskating

(this is the best picture I could get, otherwise I was on the floor with Andrew!)

~~~
Andrew was off school on Monday, so I headed to the movies with Chrissy and her son. We saw Wreck it Ralph
wrech it ralph
It was pretty cute. Even Chrissy and I were quoting the movie after haha
~~~

Today, I finally started going through Mr Flower’s old things. I still have Christmas gifts, Cardinals t-shirts (I bought for when they move here), and other odds and ends.

I have been doing pretty good considering (but thank goodness for Chrissy talking, texting, and emaling with me haha)

After getting rid of a few things, I went to return his coat that I bought him. The lady asked if there was a defect. I said “No. It just didn’t work out”. I started tearing up. Well, that lady won’t ever ask that again haha

~~~
I also knew I needed to start eating better, and working out. It has been awhile (especially after the tummy issue) muscle works was on the calendar and I love this class. It helps me work on strength training.
Id love to go on a run with this guy😉
channing tatum
(you. are. welcome. haha)
Eating was a little better today. But I did eat chicken at lunch, and my stomach was growling at me again! Taking one day a time 🙂
Question for you:
What is something you did today?
mr flowers didn’t survive the winter
I guess its time….
I obviously can’t talk about everything that is going on in my life. A girl has to keep some secrets right?!?! 😉
So if we back up a bit… I haven’t seen Mr Flower’s since October (this  is the last time he was here) Even though there has been skype, it just wasn’t the same.
In December, I was suppose to head to Kansas to visit him and his twin girls. The night before, he canceled. There is a lot going on in his life, and I understood. Well it happened again just a week ago. After a lot of thought, prayers, and tears, I realized I wasn’t a priority in the relationship anymore. It has been going on for awhile.
I decided I deserved to be treated better.  It was extremely difficult, especially since I believed that he was “the one”
decision
of course, family and friends have there for me.
My friend Shannon sent me this, just as a reminder that you shouldn’t wait around for the wrong one
Mandy, my sister in law, and I are going shopping this Sunday. A girl always needs to shop
 My dad has been helping me with my house. And my mom has been asking me constantly how I am doing
All my friends have been texting and calling to see how things are going. Amanda is trying to get me out there already haha
laughter
Even with all that help…..the songs, my house, food, you know everything, reminds me of Mr. Flowers. I know it will just take time, but it has been really hard. I also need to stay busy and one day I’ll be ready to get out there.
171207223303764336_5bESzeXE_cTomorrow is a new day, and hopefully with each day, I will be stronger and back to my happy self. My biggest  fear is ending up alone. (and I’ll be the old cat lady on the block haha)
I have been going to yoga and working out. Its time to focus on me (and andrew) for a little bit 🙂
Question for you:
What is your favorite inspirational quote?
Decorating w/ Mr Flowers and 3 kids
I absolutely love decorating, so when Mr Flowers and the girls came to visit, it was time to get ready for the Fall and Halloween!
This has become my favorite time of year
We started inside
This is a creepy crawling spider (he actually crawls down the wall….)
Then Mr Flowers and I started outside..
And this is what the kids did….
Mr flowers also took some great pictures (proof that I helped! haha)
My favorite part. We had these lights as kids
The finished product!
And its pretty scary at night….
Next up, pumpkins!
Question for you:
Do you decorate for Halloween?
Mr Flowers photo shoot
Hi everyone! I have been a little  preoccupied the past few days. Mr Flowers visited!!!!
I worked on Monday, and after work we met at my house for dinner and relaxing by the TV. He drove 8 hrs by himself, and my third 12 hour shift, ended on a crazy hectic note. We needed some down time
The past few days have included walking Andrew to school while drinking coffee. I have converted another person to iced coffee 🙂
We both walked Andrew to school, and then he needed to work a bit each morning. He trades stocks, and luckily he can do that from home. I am interested in what he does for a living, but I only understand about 5% of it. haha
While he worked, I would do laundry, or just sit and read. Yesterday, after work was through, we both were on the couch reading. The quiet was so relaxing and comforting. It was absolutely perfect.
After working or reading for a few hours, we would head to lunch. Some places on our list: Mom’s deli and Rigazzis’, and (my families favorite) Joey B’s.
While driving around, I was able to show him a lot of places that mean a lot to me. My old gradeschool, where I used to lifeguard during the summer, and houses of family and friends. I loved being able to share all of that with him.
We also had a big task this week. Find a house to rent. Mr Flowers and his girls are moving to St Louis in the next ‘few months!! (I can’t contain my excitement) I know this might seem fast for some, but the feeling we have is hard to explain (especially on a blog). I feel that I have know him MUCH longer than a few months.
He has already stolen my heart. And that is not something I give away lightly. We are also very lucky to have family and friends that are very supportive. I think I talk about him nonstop to my family and friends. (I’m suprised they keep answering my calls haha)
Our main “to do” was completed! We found a house for him to rent. We would then pick up Andrew from school and got homework out of the way.
Another task: Introducing him to the family. Thats right. We had a family dinner at my house with my immediate family. I wasn’t really nervous for them to meet. I knew he would fit right in. But I could tell he was nervous.
most uninteresting table EVER haha
A few hours after dinner, ice cream, and letting the kids play, it was time for them to head home. I then received three texts messages saying that they really liked him, and they were so happy for me. (makes me tear up again just thinking about it)
Today, he had to head home. It was extremely tough to let him go. A few hours later, I found a note from him left on the frig. ❤
Mr Flowers will be back in two weeks, let the countdown begin……
Question for you:
Where do you take visitors when they come to your city or town?
Mr Flower’s visit
In May, Mr Flowers and I started talking. (and by talking I mean facebook messages and texts) Fast forward to July, where phone calls began, and he was going to come and visit!  (man was I nervous!) But things fell through, when his uncle passed away the night before his visit.
We rescheduled for August, and again. ….Nervous. haha
Mr Flowers arrived the day after my hornet stings…..
~Friday~
Mr Flowers (or T that I call him on the good o’ blog) brought his twin 4 year old girls with him. We were treating the first get together like friends. We met at the park by my house. I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (I was shaking the entire time I was making the sandwiches haha)
At the park, I was greeted with a hug, and shy hellos from the girls. Then the kids took off, and T and I headed to the picnic tables. For about 5 minutes, I could tell we were both a little nervous. But then we got to talking, just like we have the past 3 months, and it was like we had been friends forever
After running around, Andrew and I took them to Ted Drewes! You can’t come to St Louis, and not get custard!
We ate on the  patio, and then the three kiddos colored and decorated paper, and before we knew it, it was 9pm and way past everyone’s bed time.  With a hug goodbye, they were off to their hotel
~Saturday morning~
I woke up bright and early, to a text from T.  They would be ready to go to the zoo in 15 minutes, whoops. Better go get Andrew up! haha.
While we were getting ready, T and the girls ran to the gas station to get drinks and snacks. I was impressed!
The zoo was an adventure, but the kids loved it! I was glad to show them a great part of the city.
(his girls with Andrew)
Then it was time for pizza and little relaxing.  Our mutual friend, Chrissy, had a birthday party for her son, and we all went to celebrate.
At the party, it never felt forced or uncomfortable with T and his girls. It seemed natural. Of course the other moms/friends were there asking who he was. haha. They even commented that it didn’t seem like our “first meeting”. I have to agree.
The only bad news: we didn’t take one picture together. And I didn’t take ONE PICTURE! WHO AM I!??!!? haha
Who knows what the weeks/months/years will bring, but I know, I can’t wait to find out.
The next visit….September 3rd 🙂
Question for you:
Would you call this talking, dating, or exclusive?
haha just kidding. I think my mom will appreciate that question
Mr Flowers update
I am feeling a little better after the past 48 hours.
Another situation that occurred yesterday, was Mr. Flowers was coming Tuesday-Thursday this week. On Tuesday, I received a text message very early in the morning that he wouldn’t be able to make it. I had a class from 8-12, so he knew I couldn’t talk.
The reason he isn’t coming is because his uncle died unexpectedly around midnight the night before. Of course, he needed to stay with his family, which I completely understood. Even though I was bummed he wasn’t coming, we are already making plans for another time. And considering the AC situation, it was probably best he doesn’t see me crying in the basement with my humidifier. hahaha
Good news, a few of my lillies that were sent from Mr Flowers are stil going strong. My house still smells amazing
I have a giveaway coming tomorrow- so check back in then!
Question for you:
Would you rather talk, text, or email someone?
