Oatmeal Twins

Lately, I have been trying to find ways to add veggies and protein to Andrew’s diet. He is not a carnivore in ANY sense, so I try to add it when I can. And Andrew loves them!

Adding meat without him knowing is next on my list haha

This week I found ANOTHER way to add a veggie and some protein to Andrew’s breakfast. Oatmeal

Andrew’s Protein Oatmeal

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cranraisins
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar

I added a little milk after it was cooked.

He ate the whole thing!  (although it might have been too big of a portion, next time I’ll go with 1/3 cup of oats)

Stuffed Belly

A few days ago, I had just had two things to do: Try a new breakfast and get sweaty at the gym.

Unfortuantly, the new breakfast made me STUFFED haha. But I still made it to the gym 🙂

Egg Oatmeal

Ingredients:

-1/2 c oats

-1 egg

-1 1/4 cup of water

– 1 Banana

-1/3  c of milk

– cinnamon

– Agave nectar (or your prefered sweetener)

– 1-2 tbsp Peanut Butter

Directions:

– Add oats, egg, and water to stove. Heat on High till boils. Then reduce to medium-low heat

-Continue to stir.

-Add banana and stir till desired consistancy

– Turn heat off. Add to bowl. Then add toppings: milk, agave nectar, PB, and cinnamon

Pumpkin Oat Pancake

Pumpkin Oat Pancakes:

Ingredients:

1/2 c oats

1 egg

1/4 cup pumpkin

splash of soy milk

cinnamon (to taste)

Toppings:

Peanut butter

banana (or any fruit)

agave nectar (syrup and honey would work too!)

Directions:

  • 1.)  Mix all ingredients in a bowl

 

  • 2.) Spray small skillet  and heat on medium to high heat
  • 3.) Spread mixture evenly on skillet
  • 4.) once brown on one side, FLIP!
  • 5.) Gather toppings (I love PB, banana, and agave nectar)

 

  • ENJOY!

I know I have made many different types of pancakes……

Hollie’s “Krissy Nutcakes” (named after me, Im just THAT lucky haha), blueberry banana pancakes, sprinkle pancakes, Chocolate protein pancakes, pumpkin pancakes, and heart pancakes. It may SEEEMMM that im obsessed with pancakes….Im ok with that. haha

But the pumpkin oat pancake is one of my favorites!

Speed Demon

Doing a VERY quick post tonight. I am off to my neighbors’ (shes like my lil sister) dance at her school. Then swim practice.

Breakfast started off with a jar of Oats, LOVE better than peanut butter!

I also had two clementines, you can start to see the apples again! haha

THen I went to Whole Foods. THE BEST store EVER (alittle expensive) but I get my PB, yogurt, and soy milk there

THis is the sticker they gave my nephew, who I watch on my days off.

Lunch: turkey burger, last one 😦 with ketchup, red pepper, lettuce on an arnolds thin

…and two more clementines- I WILL eat all of them haha (if it kills me)

Dessert was a HUGE bowl of cereal, PB, and soy milk….

…….Then I snacked the rest of the day……….

Dinner was a small taco salad

Well now Im off to swim practice in the HOPES of burning off all the calories I ate today. I seriously COULDNT STOP!
