Weekend adventures

Andrew and I have had alittle bit of a stressful week so when this weekend came, we were both so happy.

We started both just relaxing on saturday morning. We had no place to be until 9. So for about an hour, we just hung out in my bed and had a nice breakfast.

Then we met up with some friends from church to work on some landscape.

The pumpkin patch was up next with my brother. Sister in law, and their three kids.

It was a little chilly, but the kids had a blast running around.

Andrew headed to a friends, and i did a t25 workout and relaxed to he came home.

Im glad i did because when he got home we played two inNings of baseball in the front yard haha. And then had dinner and a nice night

Sunday was more low key. All we had was church, a workout, and then a pedicure with my mom and sister laws.

Which was a perfect way to end the week. I needed the girl time and pampering.

A Day in the life: baby mode

today I didn’t get 15,000 steps, but I still had another busy but fun day!

7 Am: Breakfast with Andrew

8:15 T25 workout. A sweaty gamma workout was exactly what I needed

9:00 My twin niece and nephew arrived

I watched them all day. We played. Went outside. They attempted to take a nap. Then we went on a short walk before picking up Andrew from school

3:00 homework with Andrew

4:00 Pam came to visit with her granddaughter stella who is 3 months old. Lots of babies in the house!

5:00 Went to help with the landscape at our church

6:00 dinner

For just ten minutes

Over the past few weeks (while I have been waiting for my strength to return), I DREAMEDDD about working out again. I knew that when I overdid it working on the yard outside, earning me a pinched nerve in my neck, I needed to take it slow. But I wasn’t sure what.

The thing is, I was starting to feel subconscious again. My clothes were on the tighter side, the carbs were out of control, and I was feeling floppy ( know what I mean? haha) So when Andrew and I met his dad for lunch one day, I noticed he had lost a bit of weight. We began talking about workouts and eating healthy (who is this guy? haha) and He mention T 25. I knew that I wouldn’t be up to that right away, but maybe just do what I could. I just didn’t want to hurt myself. Then he mentioned the 10 minute workouts from Beachbody group that he would lend me. Sounds good to me! (I am not associated with the group, the opinions are all my own!)

On Thursday, I broke out the DVDs and got moving! The program is set up for a full month, with three programs a day that each last 10 minutes. If you can’t do all three, just do two or one! So when I got started, I said I would see how I felt and go from there.

Day 1: Cardio, Lower body, and Abs

~ This actually went really well! I was sweating and breathy heavy, but not like I would die or I couldn’t finish. I felt strong! The ab workout I took lots of breaks because of my surgery and incisions. Even though they are healed, I didn’t want to do anything silly. Or push it too hard! I finished all three 🙂

Day 2: Total body, Cardio, Lower body

~ I was really sore after day 1! The next day I worked a 12 hour shift, so no workout that day. So on Saturday, I woke up and got this workout right out of the way! The lower body and cardio totally got me moving and my legs nice and sore!

~~~~UPDATE SO FAR~~~~~~

I am LOVING the workouts. Super easy to have them at my house. I used to workout at home, but wasn’t getting motivated, so the gym was what I needed. Now, the home workouts are perfect! they are hard, but not impossible. I look forward to working out, and feeling strong! I also have my son’s dad and Angela checking on me! It is helping a lot!

I know that I have been missing for the past few days, only for happy reasons. My brother got married! Last week was a whirlwind, and I promise this week for LOTS Of pictures and stories.

Today though, I want to talk about me 🙂 I have been struggling a lot lately with my eats, workouts, and weight. My neck and pinched nerve are finally better, and I’m ready to get strong.

I weighed myself this morning after weeks of carbs, no workouts, and stresses, and it wasn’t pretty. LUCKLY, I got an AMAZING text from Angela about our new workout plan and keeping each other accountable. She brought my spirits up, and I was ready to attack the day!

My eats were in check, except for a few reese’s, my eats were clean:)

I also dusted off my 10lb weights, and did some short workouts during commercials.

So the plan Angela and I have been talking about, T25!!! I will get the 10 minute workouts wednesday, and will get the 25 minute workouts soon. Angela is starting with the 25. But I plan on updating you all on Thursday when I start them 🙂  I know that I need to start slow so I don’t get hurt. But I am ready to feel strong again, even if I don’t lose a lb, I want my muscles!!!
