Well that concludes the whole year!!!! it was a lot! I am so glad I decided to do this flashback. It is so much fun to see what happened just in one year. I am really looking forward to 2014

Question for you:

What do you have planned for 2014?

Fence is up! Thanks to my family

The past few days have been pretty crazy.

The baby arrived on Friday morning! I just can’t describe how excited I am to have this little fella here. I wish I could share everything with you guys. Lets just say he is adorable!

Also, Andrew has been a great helper. I am so glad he such a good listener. Especially when we went to listen to live music at the St Louis zoo. I didn’t take many pictures (the baby is a handful) but we did get this one!

Friday night was a little restless, just because every time the baby moved, I woke up. Hopefully tonight I am more used to his bed being next to mine

Saturday morning started nice and early! The baby and I got up early and did laundry, had breakfast, and lots of coffee (for me). It was great to wake up to a smiley baby 🙂

And this is why we were up early…..

I can not tell you how appreciative I am of ALL my family coming over and helping put up the fence

We did have a few rain falls throughout the day, and they just kept trucking through

the results are AMAZING

9 hours later. geez.

After two days of nonstop with the baby, Andrew, and the fence (on top of andrews baseball game, trips to homedepot, etc etc) I need a bit of a break. Time for bed!

Question for you:

What do you do when you first wake up?

Mr Flower’s visit

In May, Mr Flowers and I started talking. (and by talking I mean facebook messages and texts) Fast forward to July, where phone calls began, and he was going to come and visit!  (man was I nervous!) But things fell through, when his uncle passed away the night before his visit.

We rescheduled for August, and again. ….Nervous. haha

Mr Flowers arrived the day after my hornet stings…..

~Friday~

Mr Flowers (or T that I call him on the good o’ blog) brought his twin 4 year old girls with him. We were treating the first get together like friends. We met at the park by my house. I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (I was shaking the entire time I was making the sandwiches haha)

At the park, I was greeted with a hug, and shy hellos from the girls. Then the kids took off, and T and I headed to the picnic tables. For about 5 minutes, I could tell we were both a little nervous. But then we got to talking, just like we have the past 3 months, and it was like we had been friends forever

After running around, Andrew and I took them to Ted Drewes! You can’t come to St Louis, and not get custard!

We ate on the  patio, and then the three kiddos colored and decorated paper, and before we knew it, it was 9pm and way past everyone’s bed time.  With a hug goodbye, they were off to their hotel

~Saturday morning~

I woke up bright and early, to a text from T.  They would be ready to go to the zoo in 15 minutes, whoops. Better go get Andrew up! haha.

While we were getting ready, T and the girls ran to the gas station to get drinks and snacks. I was impressed!

The zoo was an adventure, but the kids loved it! I was glad to show them a great part of the city.

(his girls with Andrew)

Then it was time for pizza and little relaxing.  Our mutual friend, Chrissy, had a birthday party for her son, and we all went to celebrate.

At the party, it never felt forced or uncomfortable with T and his girls. It seemed natural. Of course the other moms/friends were there asking who he was. haha. They even commented that it didn’t seem like our “first meeting”. I have to agree.

The only bad news: we didn’t take one picture together. And I didn’t take ONE PICTURE! WHO AM I!??!!? haha

Who knows what the weeks/months/years will bring, but I know, I can’t wait to find out.

The next visit….September 3rd 🙂

Question for you:

Would you call this talking, dating, or exclusive?

haha just kidding. I think my mom will appreciate that question

Happy News

Today, started with a field trip with Andrew and his classmates to the zoo. Oh man. I don’t think I could be a teacher. I only had five kids in my group, but WOW I’m exhausted haha.

Andrew and I actually left straight from the zoo (skipping the lovely bus ride) to get to his ENT appointment. From November, he was always having ear infections or strep. We finally met with an allergist a few weeks ago, and today we met to talk about if he needs tubes in his ears, or his tonsils out. LUCKILY! We are thinking neither! WAHOOOOOOOOO

She said, we just need to keep an eye on him. I am so happy that at this moment he is doing so well, and hasn’t been sick in two months!

Now to leave you with a pinterest quote

And a found these old photos…..

Question for you:

What is your favorite animal at the zoo?

Hanging with the animals

Last night Andrew spent the night at my parents with my nephew, which means I could either sleep in, or head to the gym.

I bet you guys think I slept in, well OH NO. I got my butt up and to the gym.

I finished 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 on the bike. I was dripping in sweat by the end of it, and thought Im not going to pick up any guys at the gym like this haha

But I did see my friend Julie, who I work with in the NICU. Her sister actually writes the blog The Sweets Life that I started following even before I knew it was her sister. Small world!

After the gym, it was time to head to the zoo with my son, nephew, and my mom. We had a blast!

After lunch at the zoo (I had a chicken caesar salad w/ dressing on the side), it was time to head home and relax. Andrew then had his last outdoor soccer game, and he got a trophy

andrew is in the red shorts

The coach then treated the boys to Ted Drews ice cream. You guys know my love for this ice cream, but I didnt get any!!!

(the gym in the morning and now no ice cream- I must be sick! haha)

Question for you:

What are you doing this weekend?

Is it cold where you live?
