New Year, New Plan, New Me

Today is the day! Time to get this weight off once and for all. My sister in law and brother have lost a combined 50lbs!!!! So with their help, we are eating clean and kicking booty!

I loaded up with goodies (the orange juice, bread, and toasted oats are not for me)

On my list:

  • whipping cream
  • oranges
  • apples
  • sweet potatoes
  • tomatoes
  • salad
  • avocados
  • bananas
  • colby cheese
  • PB2
  • acorn squash
  • milk
  • coffee
  • celery

I am trying to eat about 50g of carbs a day. That means A MAJOR cut in carbs and sugar for me, which is big because I AM ADDICTED to that stuff! Yesterday, I even had a migraine from cutting carbs and sugar!

Today, I feel much better and made it to the gym for the muscle works class. I always feel so much better when I eat better and workout- why can’t I just stick with it?!?!

My plan is to weigh in every Friday (so keep a lookout for updates!) and if I lose 1lb a week before my birthday in July, I can be down 24lbs!!! Please feel free to keep me in line 🙂

  1. Good for you! After you get over the initial withdrawn from the carbs/sugar (it can last a while…sorry…) you will feel so awesome that you will WANT to workout! Keep plugging along and YOU CAN DO IT!!

      1. Everyday Paleo has a new “family” cookbook, I don’t have it, but there may be lots of kid friendly things in there. There is also PaleoParents website and the Paleo Slow Cooker book is awesome…breakfast ideas in there, too!

  2. Nope and nope! Today was a really long, tiring day.
    And you can totally do this!!! I am working on getting restarted also and its so hard. And same things for me – getting back into workouts and getting rid of sugar! This week, I was doing great but usually 3-4 day into strict Paleo, I end up crashing off of the sugar. The problem this week was that it came just when I needed to be working so I gave in. I will do better the rest of the week!!

    1. I think the hard part will be when I go back to work this weekend. That is where the candy and carbs hang out together and they are so tempting! Luckily, I have three days off before that, and I dont have anything in the house that would throw me off track. Day three: here we go!!!!

      1. Everyone sneezed on the candy and cookies! Think of the power and strength you will feel when you just say no and make it through the day w/o it! I’m gonna check in on you…You can do it, I know you can!
