Back at home….

So the past few days have been interesting. Snowmegeddon is still hanging around, the temperatures are in the NEGATIVES! and my car battery died. Needless to say, I am OVER WINTER!~ (I want my 120 bucks back! haha)

As a result, I haven’t been able to drive to work. Andrew has also been off school Monday and Tuesday, and since I had to work he has been at my parents, and my parents have been driving me back and forth. Luckily, my dad is retired and drives a big truck, and my mom works at the hospital next to mine. So they have been gracious enough to let me stay at their house the past three nights.

Which has been a bit weird. I always thought of this as home (and still do) but I also think of my house as home. Strange.

Anyway, I am staying in my old bed room……..

These were a yellow color when we bought them and my mom painted them. I still like them a lot

Andrew’s bed is also still up there (yep. We shared a room for 6 years.

Question for you:

Who was your first roommate? (that wasn’t family)

-I first lived with my friend Meredith freshman year when I went to college at SMS. We had some great memories, and still talk about them!

  1. My first roommate was my college freshman roommate. We tolerated one another. I had a single room for the remainder of college. It was much better that way. My junior year I did have a room that joined another room and for a few months we had the door open, put the 2 beds in one room, desks/dressers in the other so we were kinda roomies…we got along great and we’re still in touch.

  2. How cute! Love that furniture.
I had a roomie Freshman year that was pretty nice but she got in with the clique-y girls on the floor and that’s not me. Then I had a roommate for a few months sophomore year who I’m still friends with. She moved out to live with the French Living Community and I never got another (woohoo! huge room to myself!). If you ask me who my “roommate” was, it is Ashley – who was my maid of honor at my wedding!

  3. My first roomie was my freshman roommate, Jasmine. We were best friends in high school. By the end of our college sophomore year, we weren’t speaking. Maybe it wasn’t the best idea for me to live with someone from school. I dunno. I’m not in touch with her at all now.

It is weird to go back to my parents house. It still feels a bit like home to me, at least my home does. I haven’t visited in a LONG time though. I sorta miss it :(.
